LIVE OAK, FL — Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is happy to announce the final lineup for the Suwannee Spring Reunion on March 23 – 25, 2017, at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida.  Joining some of the stellar acts already announced are Sara Watkins, Hot Buttered Rum, Tornado Rider, Roy Book Binder, Josh Daniel/Mark Schimick Project, Nikki Talley, Ralph Roddenbery & The B-Sides, Grass Is Dead, Lon and Lis Williamson,The Adventures of Annabelle Lyn, Bobby Miller and the Virginia Daredevils, Whetherman, Flea Market Hustlers, The Applebutter Express, Habanero Honeys, Old Dawgs New Trixx, and Artist at Large: Mickey Abraham.

Artists that have already been announced include Donna the Buffalo, Jerry Douglas Presents Earls of Leicester, Peter Rowan Band, Jim Lauderdale, Jeff Mosier with Pickled Holler, Verlon Thompson, and Joe Craven. See the full line-up below.

Along with two stages of music, Suwannee Spring Reunion will have hands on and performance workshops featuring festival artists. All the kids can get really excited too because Tania & the Magic Moon Traveling Circus and Suwannee Spirit Kids Music Camp will be providing a weekend to remember.

Expect camp pickin’ parties, wonderful food and crafts, and enjoy the Park’s many other attractions including disc golf, miles of hiking and biking trails, the bat house, and the chance to venture Way Down Upon The Suwannee River.

Festival Director Beth Judy says, “I am so excited about Suwannee Spring Reunion. To me, when spring is in the air, it is a very special time of year to gather with friends and family. This festival is truly a reunion; we have artists coming together who have been at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in different incarnations many times over the years, so much they are family. It’s a coming home too for many friends, family, and chosen family joining together to celebrate life love & music under the oaks.”

Tickets are on sale now with a price increase in one week on February 22nd. Suwannee Spring Reunion is offering a multi-day ticket that includes festival admission for three days of music, as well as primitive camping on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Advance tickets are only $99 + taxes and fees; Students and military with a valid ID are $89.45 + taxes and fees. Children 12 and under are free if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Get your tickets now, because prices at the gate will be higher! LIVE OAK, FL — Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is excited to announce the music schedule for the inaugural Suwannee Roots Revival taking place October 13-16, 2016 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, FL. This old school, family friendly event includes camping, disc golf, and campground pickin’ stages and features multiple stages, The Amphitheater, The Porch, The Dance Tent, Workshops at The Music Hall & The Music Farmers Hands On Workshop Stage, many decorated with beautiful backdrops by Richard and Rainne of tye-dyebackdrops.com. Bring your instruments to enjoy the pickin’ parties going off throughout the campgrounds.

Suwannee Roots Revival is thrilled to unveil a poster design by Visual and Performance Artist Bean Spence whose whimsical and fantastical art will also decorate The Amphitheater Stage. Bean Spence, along with Matt Abercrombie and Leo Hearn, will be painting live and displaying their art in the vendor village. Folks can pick up signed copies of Bean’s poster as well as the poster previously unveiled by Marci Davis at Festival Merch.

Join the Suwannee team in dressing in your best 70’s pinball wizard attire on Thursday for The HillBenders “Tommy: A Bluegrass Opry,” following sets from The Shook Twins and Town Mountain. Thursday night will close out with a late-night set from The Grass is Dead.

Friday features long sets from The Wood Brothers and Leftover Salmon, back to back closing out the night on The Amphitheatre Stage. Also see Blueground Undergrass, Col. Bruce Hampton & The Madrid Express, The Honeycutters, Ralph Roddenbery and Donna Hopkins and more Friday on the main stage. The Porch Stage will also be kicking off on Friday with sets from Florida favorites Grandpa’s Cough Medicine, Acoustic Messengers, and The Applebutter Express. Comedian/Illusionist Jeff Bradley will be making special appearance as the last performance of the evening on the Porch Stage.

Leftover Salmon will return to the stage on Saturday for back to back hour-and-a-half sets with Sam Bush on The Amphitheatre Stage. The Stage also features long sets with Donna the Buffalo and Peter Rowan, following Jon Stickley Trio, Verlon Thompson, The Mike + Ruthy Band among others. On Saturday afternoon there will be plenty of things for the kids to do hosted by the Suwannee Spirit Kids Music Camp. Later on Nikki Talley, Dread Clampitt,  and Quartermoon perform, Comedian/Illusionist Jeff Bradley will make a second appearance.

Sunday brings things back in a bit with all the music at The Amphitheatre Stage with Donna the Buffalo closing out the festival in a set which will feature many other musicians that have also performed throughout the weekend. This follows an extra special set from Col. Bruce Hampton, Reverend Jeffrey Mosier, and Friends! Sunday also features Jim Lauderdale, Peter Rowan, Verlon Thompson, and Big Cosmo. The stage begins at 10am with Tania and The Kids Jam.

The Dance Tent Stage features music Thursday through Saturday and will be located in the meadow providing a shaded space designed for movement. There will be a dance floor with Contra and Square Dances led by The Dunehoppers with instruction at the beginning of each set. Many of your favorite bands will be performing there including Jim Lauderdale & Donna the Buffalo, Col. Bruce Hampton & Madrid Express, Blueground Undergrass, Town Mountain, Jon Stickley Trio, SYZYGY, Dread Clampitt, The Mike + Ruthy Band and more!

The Kids Tent will be the place to be for the young and young at heart as Tania & Magic Moon Traveling Circus host a variety of musical and fun activities.

Throughout the weekend the Music Farmers Hands On Workshop Stage will host hands-on workshops with instruction provided by festival artists. A special Permaculture Action Day of gardening and workshops will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016. Festival attendees, who sign up in advance, will come together for hands-on projects in permaculture, rainwater harvesting, and assembling recycling stations.

Live Oak Music and Arts Foundation (LOMAF) will hold a raffle to raise funds for Kids Music Education in Northeast Florida. Funds got to in-school education programs in Suwannee and Hamilton county and to Suwannee Spirit Kids Music Camp. Catch kids from the music camp performing on Saturday on The Porch stage!

Our healing arts programs feature Yoga with Rhonda Bell, Continuum Movement® Introductory workshop with Donnalea Van Vleet Goelz, and possibly an “unannounced” Tai Chi workshop on Sunday with one of our favorite artists.

Set in the midst of 800 acres of Spanish moss draped oak and cypress trees along the Suwannee River, the venue is a playground for endless activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, disc golf and biking. The outer 5th ring is 16 magnolia blossoms and river waves with two red canoes facing each other — 4th ring is the 4 music stages and the “J.L.”— 3rd ring is lots of music notes (all weekend) and lots of foot prints (walking), two tents -red/blue, two camp fires, dragonfly and butterfly! — 4th ring, alligator, ant, sound equipment, bat, turtle, fish, owl, turtle, raccoon, snake, turtle, bat, bicycle, and bunny. 4th row, two music fans, banjo, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and 4 hand drums make a peace sign, the center is the Magnolia Moon and the “Stealy”…happy 16th Mag’ to everyone!”

2011 Suwannee Springfest Ticket Info: Early bird tickets are on sale now until January 31 for $125.  From February 1–March 15 tickets will be priced at $150.  From March 16-March 23 tickets will be $165.  From that point on, including at the festival gates, all weekend tickets will be $180.  Saturday/Sunday two-day passes (with camping) will be $145 and available only at the gate.  Single day tickets will be priced as follows: Thursday: $50, Friday: $65, Saturday: $75, Sunday: $50 (single day tickets do not include camping).  All weekend tickets include music, camping Thursday-Sunday nights, and all fees and taxes.  For more information on Suwannee Springfest, including up-to-date lineup and ticket details, go to: suwanneespringfest.com

Hosted each November, the 2010 Bear Creek Music & Arts Festival was such a huge success and attracts such a loyal group of attendees, that dates and select artists have already been announced for next year.  Scheduled for November 11-13, 2011, the preliminary lineup includes Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood, The Funky Meters, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, John Scofield & Piety Street, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Lettuce, George Porter, Jr., Jon Cleary, and the Pimps of Joytime.  For more information on the Bear Creek Music & Arts Festival go to: http://www.bearcreekmusicfestival.com/
